New York, NY – Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright has expressed her desire for HBO’s upcoming adaptation of the beloved wizarding world to delve deeper into the characters and storylines that were not fully explored in the original films.
Speaking at the Back to Hogwarts event, Wright, who portrayed Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, shared her hopes for the new TV series. “There are so many nuanced moments in the books, like the development of the relationship between Ginny and Harry,” she said. “I’d love to see more of that arc and the evolution of her character.”
Wright also expressed her wish to see more screen time for other fan-favorite characters like Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood. “There are so many characters that have moments I love from the books,” she added. “I’m hoping as a fan of the books that I get to see more.”
HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ series is expected to premiere in 2026.
